What the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA) asks of a variation, and a form that follows it. Fill it in below — the document uses the WA wording.
What the law says
- A variation must be in writing, set out all of its terms and its cost, show its date, and be signed by the builder and the owner (section 7(1)).
- The owner must get a copy before the varied work starts (section 7(2)).
- Section 8 covers variations caused by unforeseen circumstances or a lawful direction, with a statement due within 10 working days.
- The Act covers home building contracts between $7,500 and $500,000.

What the document prints for WA
This variation is set out in writing under section 7 of the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA): it states all of its terms and its cost, shows its date, is signed by the builder and the owner, and a copy is to be given to the owner before the varied work starts.
The form asks for what every VaryPro document needs: the parties, the site, a description and the priced lines.
